The steel and bronze originated as cast-off industrial and military scrap. Given a new life, they emerge newly formed and unpredictably assembled as metaphoric plants strewn across the terrace.  The Bronx is shaped by the physical processes of the pour set among stones also sculpted by physical processes evoking associations with the environmental threat now posed by the industrial culture.
